An emergency release cord on the garage door arm opens the trolley to allow you to disengage the garage door from the opener.
Reconnect garage door after emergency release.
The first thing to do is hit the door button.
The next step is to go to the inside of the garage door.
To achieve the connected position pull the emergency release cord down and toward the door away from the motor.
If simply hitting the button does not work you will have to take more action.
You need to check the release handle and make sure that it is on the track.
When the spring lever is in the connected position the position required to re engage the garage door opener carriage the spring lever is compressed.
Once the power is restored to the garage door opener you must.
Tie a single overhand knot in the cord about an inch from the end.
Some units will actually reconnect themselves but this is not typically the case.
When you are ready to reconnect your door pull the emergency cord toward the door to put the spring lever of the trolley in the connect position and allow it to attach to the carrier.
With either method you should hear a loud click when the door is reconnected.
3 feed the other end of the cord through the emergency release lever on the door opener.
Re connect the trolley to the opener carriage.
