All you have to do is undo the torx head bolt holding the handle on and then wriggle the door handle outwards until you can see the offending lug that needs cut off you can move it out far enough to get a pair of pliers on to it and just gently twist it sideways and it will snap off dead easy. I found it easiest to unscrew the plastic pull push tab at the top of the door which is attatched to one of the bars and then pull down and turn the red plastic tab on the other rod which is attatched to the exterior door handle with your fingers and pull it out of the latch. There is a door lock test procedure somewhere online just need an ohmmeter. First remove the screw in the door pull rear plate and then slide the plate over the handle.
