To remove a door hinge pin start by making sure you have a hammer a screwdriver and a nail punch or nail set. Your hinge is found here on the manufacturer s website. Then gently tap the vice grip until the bottom cap comes off. This does come off easily with a flat head screw driver and a hammer.

Force the pin up from the door hinge. Circled in red are two pins or screws look at both sides see if there is a way to unscrew them. Once the cap is off just knock out the pin with the pin popper tool. If so unscrewing it from the jamb or hinge is the only way to take the door down.

Next lodge a book under the door to keep it from toppling over while you unpin it. Taking a hammer and your hex tool or nail gently ram the pin upwards. Then use your hammer to push the nail punch up and under the pin until it dislodges. Put the flat end of the nail against the pin and tap it up with the hammer.

The best way to remove door hinge pin with a bottom cap. Some hinges do come with a decorative bottom cap on the bottom.
