Disconnect the power window switch assembly. Use a pair of pliers to get a good grip on the latch and then gently but firmly pull the latch away from the panel. Pull the wires from behind the covers. You ll need to remove screws that are by the door handle arm rest under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don t want to break them. Before installing the door trim panel to the door discard the old trim panel retainers. The door latch is also held in place by small plastic clips that can make it difficult to remove by hand.

Pull the panel away from the car door slowly starting from the bottom of the panel. Pull out the wire connections from the speaker to disconnect them. Use a pair of pliers to pull the door latch off of the panel. Put a screwdriver around the edges and pry it and the door panel should come off.

Remove the screws from the front door trim panel use the j 38778 to remove the trim panel.
