Remove door panel from 92 geo metro.

Take a shop towel or wash cloth and gently slide it behind your window crank handle. Power window fell down inside door. There are clips holding the door panel around the edges. To remove the clips use a small screwdriver to feel for them then use another one to pull the panel on the other side.

Remove the panel retainers that are around the panel with a 2 5mm allen wrench. This will pop up a small wire clip far enough for you to put. Insert a screwdriver blade behind the window crank and pry out the c clip that holds the crank on. The left rear exterior door handle won t open the door but the interior handle will.

I have a 92 geo metro 4 door. Do this repeatedly and then loosen and remove the arm rest. Remove the crank handle. I removed the window crank the arm rest and popped out the grommits around the door panel but the panel is still firmly attached at the top along the window and possibly to the interior latch mechanism.

Having the pin in the locked down position makes it easier to remove the door panel as well.
