Power pro is installed everything else is working fine i have reset the camera. Ring pro works fine for a couple of events and then stops working. Voltage reading under device health steadily drops during the evening with night vision on. To solve this issue the ring video doorbell may not be receiving sufficient voltage.

I covered the three infrared lights with black tape turned on the color night vision and the porch light and i get a good picture that way otherwise it s black and white and you cant see anything but shadows with the porch light on or off. I think this started with the new update to the app. Poor wiring may lead to video freezing and night vision issues therefore. It seems there is not enough light that even with the night vision the doorbell is unable to make out anything beyond your front door.

To check the voltage of your ring pro open the ring app select your ring pro and tap device health. I did not cover up the infrared sensors with tape. This makes absolutely no sense to me as there is a front yard light on a pole no more than about 5 yards from the doorbell. It is also possible that if there is a light above the device it is causing too much reflection on the right side stopping the camera from picking up any further. If the ring isn t working for you there are certainly other night vision camera s you can purchase. If i do a hard reset on my db2 the color at night works for 10 r so seconds then goes off back to night vision and will not work again. Night vision doesn t work.
